Our Team

We're a team of builders, Artists, and tattoo enthusiasts creating something real for the tattoo industry. Here's what the CO:CREATE team has to say about their own tattoo experiences, the Artists they admire, and why this work matters to them.

What do you love about the tattoo industry and tattoo artists?
I heard a tattoo artist describe themselves as pirates - choosing to shrug off certain societal norms and fiercely independent - I aspire to that level of self-direction, where I'm writing my story for myself, not for those I think may read it.

What is your favorite tattoo style and why?
American Traditional. The history behind the style is what drew me in & the timelessness of the designs is what keeps me coming back.

What’s your favorite story about a tattoo you have?
I have a bow on my wrist that my Artist lifted from a drawing my daughter did. She puts bows on everyone she draws and I wanted to remember that always. Life needs more whimsy and what's more whimsical than a bow?

What's your favorite story about a tattoo you have?
I love my first tattoo. It is a Lord of the Rings inspired tattoo that I got with a group of friends. I still remember the day fondly.

What do you love about tattoos and tattoo artists?
My love for tattoos and this industry comes from its deep roots in practice and history. Tattoos have always been marks of identity, from indigenous traditions as signifiers of status and protection, to being embraced as symbols and acts of rebellion and independence, to becoming acts of pure impulse and whimsy. Seeing today’s community of artists move the legacy of this art with them while simultaneously pushing boundaries to tell stories and connect with clients and each other is deeply inspiring.

What do you love about tattoos and tattoo artists?
Art comes in so many forms, a lot of which can be destroyed or "deleted" in an instant. Tattoos are a point of pride, an honor to wear, a long lasting but temporary (because at some point we all die) form of expression. Being able to gift that to someone or be someone's canvas is such a special thing. It's about the engagement with the art and the artist and not just buying a piece at a gallery or something online.

What is your favorite story about a tattoo you have?
I was climbing in the Canadian backcountry and realized I was sharing a portaledge with someone who had gotten a stomach piece done by the same artist who did mine!

Who is your favorite artist on CO:CREATE?
melted my brain (in the best way). His art grabbed me by the eyeballs, chewed me up, and spit me out a better person. He’s the reason I fell headfirst into tattooing and never looked back.

What is your favorite tattoo style and why?
My favorite style right now is fine line. I love the simple, clean aesthetic and the amount of detail an artist is able to convey in a confined space.

What is your favorite tattoo style and why?
Blackwork’s simple shapes and solid black ink often give more room for meaningful symbolism. Choosing this style can feel like returning to tattooing’s beginnings where it was all about telling a story through a symbol.

Who is your favorite CO:CREATE artist?
That's so hard to say. We have a lot of great artists that have styles I like. But I really like 's black and red work. And there are more for sure.

What is your favorite tattoo style and why?
I’m drawn to illustrative blackwork tattoos that create contrast through clever use of negative space and smooth shading. I equally admire Neo-traditional tattoos in earthy color palettes with rich saturation. In both styles, I’m inspired by pieces that feature dark, moody, and surreal imagery.
